Jeremy Pruitt — Alabama Defensive Coordinator

I don’t think Jeremy Pruitt will get an extended look by the Vols, but I do think he’s on their short list.

Pruitt’s had a lot of success as a defensive coordinator. He helped lead Florida State to a national championship in 2013 as the Seminoles’ defensive coordinator and he nearly did the same last year in his first season with Alabama.

There are a few off the field issues concerning Pruitt, however, that might keep him out of the running for Tennessee’s job.

The other concern here is that Tennessee really needs an offensive mastermind in 2018 to breathe some life into their stagnant offense. Pruitt would have to bring an established offensive coordinator along with him.
