Tee Martin — USC Offensive Coordinator/Wide Receivers Coach

I’m not sure if Phillip Fulmer and the Vols will seriously consider Tee Martin to replace Butch Jones, but he certainly has a ton of fan support.

Tee, by the way, has noticed.

The big question about Martin, who help leads a prolific offense at USC and is known as one of the best recruiters in college football, is whether or not he’s ready to be a head coach at this level.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to know for sure.

Martin is obviously one of the top assistants in the country (two different coaching staffs have retained him), so there’s a good chance he’d come home to Rocky Top and be great.

But there’s also a chance that Tennessee is in such a mess that Tee wouldn’t be able to save it. I’m not sure if handing the reigns of a broken program over to a first time head coach is a good idea.
