Tennessee Vols Coaching Search: Revised Hot Board

Chad Morris — SMU Head Coach
I actually like Chad Morris a lot, despite his losing record at SMU.
The Mustangs were a mess when Morris came to town. He now has the program on an upward trajectory.
Morris possesses a great offensive mind (he’s responsible for Clemson’s offense) and he’s a great recruiter.
We also know that Morris would be able to put together a great staff, which could include some former Vols (Kevin Steele, Marion Hobby and Dan Brooks maybe?).
Now that Texas A&M has hired Jimbo Fisher, Morris will likely be ready to seriously consider an offer from Tennessee.
If Morris stays at SMU another year and improves their record once again, I think he would be one of the hottest coaching commodities in college football. It might be smart to go ahead and grab him.
