Kirby Smart had a fairly successful first season as a head coach in 2016 (he finished 8-5, but that included a loss to a Butch Jones led team).
But Smart took the Bulldogs to the next level in 2017, leading Georgia to a SEC championship and a spot in the college football playoff.
The Bulldogs will lose a lot of talent after this season, but it’s clear Smart has already changed the culture in Athens.
I think Tennessee will play Georgia closer than they did this past season (when they couldn’t manage to score), but ultimately I think the Bulldogs will come out on top.
