Jim Bob Cooter — Detroit Lions Offensive Coordinator

The Rams appear to have made a brilliant move by hiring 31 year old Sean McVay.

Perhaps the Titans should follow the same script?

If they decide that’s the direction they want to go, they have the perfect candidate in front of them in Jim Bob Cooter.

Cooter is a Tennessee native, played at Tennessee and has quickly shot up the coaching ranks.

The former Vol got his NFL start as an offensive assistant with Colts when Peyton Manning was still in town. After a stint with the Chiefs, Cooter rejoined Peyton in Denver. He was then hired as the quarterbacks coach for the Lions. Cooter was promoted to offensive coordinator after two seasons.

I think Cooter is going to be a head coach sooner than later.

The Titans would be the perfect fit for him.
