Tennessee Vols: Video Isn’t A Good Look For Cade Mays Or UT Signee
By Zach Ragan
A recent video shows former Tennessee Vols target Cade Mays making some disparaging remarks about UT.
Former Tennessee Vols recruiting target Cade Mays, who signed with the Georgia Bulldogs during the early signing period, is apparently doing his best to demolish his relationship with UT fans.
And what he’s doing so far is working.

The video really isn’t that big of a deal to me, though I don’t think it’s a good look for Mays.
If this was a Tennessee recruit saying the same thing about Florida or Georgia, Vol fans would love it.
But Mays’ situation is a bit different.
Mays is the son of former Vol Kevin Mays, who played at Tennessee in the early 90’s.
So this isn’t quite the same as a random recruit badmouthing a rival school. Mays should probably know better, but he’s a Georgia boy now, so Vol fans should pretty much just shrug this one off.
There’s nothing “Tennessee” about Mays at this point. Time to move on.
What’s more concerning here is that UT signee Tanner Antonutti appears to be the one singing along with Mays.
I know the old adage “kids will be kids”, but I don’t think this is how a kid that just signed with a university should act. If it’s Antonutti in that video, then I think Phillip Fulmer and Jeremy Pruitt need to have a long talk with him.
Playing at Tennessee is a privilege and there are a lot of three-star offensive linemen that would love to have Antonutti’s spot on the team.
And I’m sure some of those other three-stars would take Tennessee football a lot more seriously.
Some folks might not think this is a big deal, but if you’re trying to change the culture, this isn’t the kind of thing you need around the program.
