3. Titans’ First Playoff Win In 14 Years
The year was 2004. George W. Bush was president, Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice” was getting set to premiere, Nick Saban was still at LSU and the world was weeks away from meeting William Hung for the first time.
Oh, and it was also the last time the Titans won a playoff game, before their epic comeback against the Chiefs this past weekend.
Tennessee’s last playoff win came against the Baltimore Ravens in the wild card round of the 2003 playoffs. The Titans only put up 324 yards of offense in the matchup, but their defense was able to hold running back Jamal Lewis to only 34 yards.
The Titans went on to face the Patriots in the divisional round of the playoffs. Tennessee ended up losing 17-4 to New England.
Hopefully for the Titans things will be a bit different in this year’s divisional round. The Titans will once again take on the Patriots.
