5. Mike Mularkey’s Job Is Safe

After the Titans’ win against the Chiefs, Mike Mularkey complained that he didn’t receive any support from the front office in regards to his status as Tennessee’s coach in 2018.

It wasn’t long, however, until the Titans’ front office released a statement backing Mularkey as the team’s head coach.

Everyone knows the deal here. If the Titans would have lost to the Chiefs on Saturday, there would have been a serious conversation about the future of Mularkey in Nashville. I’m not saying he would’ve been fired, but that option definitely would have been discussed.

But when you lead a franchise to their first playoff win in over a decade, it pretty much makes you unfirable.

Regardless of what happens this weekend against the Patriots, Mularkey will be back in Music City in 2018.
