MINNEAPOLIS, MN – MAY 17: Linebacker Mike Vrabel of the Kansas City Chiefs speaks to members of the media after leaving court ordered mediation at the U.S. Courthouse on May 17, 2011 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As the NFL lockout remains in place mediation was ordered after a hearing on an antitrust lawsuit filed by NFL players against the NFL owners after labor talks between the two broke down in March. Mike Vrabel — Houston Texans Defensive Coordinator

I don’t think this is the direction the Titans will end up going. I tend to think they’ll hire an offensive minded coach, but I still think they’ll do their due diligence and interview a wide variety of potentials coaches.

(Keep in mind, when the Tennessee Vols first starting searching for a coach this past year, it was widely assumed they’d hire an offensive minded coach.)

Vrabel’s interview with the Titans, which will be held on Thursday, will be his third interview.

For what it’s worth, I’m not sure if he’s ready to be a head coach and for that reason I’d be a bit concerned if I was a Titans fan and the franchise ends up hiring the former Patriot.
