When a coaching staff shows interest in a low-rated player, it’s probably best to sit up and take notice.
Flemister is rated by 247Sport as a two-star recruit and the No. 2,306 player in the nation.
But for whatever reason, Pruitt and the Volunteers are intrigued. They must see something in the Georgia native that has escaped other programs/evaluators.
Flemister is currently committed to Georgia Tech, but if the Vols really want him, it won’t be hard to flip him.
Notre Dame has also offered Flemister, so there is some interest from other major programs in him, but not much at this point.
The Vols signed one running back during the early signing period (Jeremy Banks) and they’re expected to sign at least one more. I think Flemister will be that guy.
