Tennessee Football: 5 Recruits The Vols Will Land In 2018 Class
By Zach Ragan
Glenn Beal — Tight End
3-Star — New Orleans, LA
No one is certain what position Beal will play in college (tight end or defensive end?), but he’s clearly a coveted recruit.
It looks like Tennessee is battling Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Alabama for his services.
The Vols recently visited Beal, sending tight ends coach Brian Niedermeyer and new wide receivers coach David Johnson to see him.
Johnson, like Beal, is from New Orleans, so I’m sure the Vols are hoping the two can bond over being from Louisiana.
This one will likely come down to signing day, but I’ve felt for a while that Beal will ultimately end up at Tennessee. It’ll be close, but I think he chooses the Vols over the Aggies.
