Tennessee Football: 5 Recruits The Vols Will Land In 2018 Class
By Zach Ragan
Olaijah Griffin — Cornerback
4-Star — Mission Viejo, CA
I’ve went back and forth on Griffin a lot.
He’s obviously a player the Vols need to sign (they need to add as much defensive back depth as possible), but it’s going to be tough to pull him out of California.
I think Griffin, who is the son of legendary rapper Warren G, likes Tennessee a lot. I even think it’s his preferred school.
But I also don’t think he wants to be across the country from his family, which I understand.
Ultimately, however, I think Griffin’s family will tell him to go where he’ll be in the best situation.
And I think that place, for him, will be Tennessee. He’ll have the opportunity to play early. He’ll also play under one of the best defensive staffs in the nation.
It seems like a win-win situation for Griffin and that’s why I think he ends up in Knoxville.
