Tennessee Football: 10 Former Vols Who Would Be A Good Fit In The XFL
By Zach Ragan
Da’Rick Rogers — Wide Receiver
We deserve to see David Ricky back on the football field.
Rogers proved at Tennessee he has legit talent. And he briefly proved it in the NFL.
In 2013, as a member of the the Colts, Rogers caught six passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns in a game against the Bengals. I thought it was the beginning of a redemption story for Rogers (he was famously kicked off the UT football team by then head coach Derek Dooley), but he couldn’t stay out of trouble.
Rogers was released right after the start of the 2014 season after he was arrested for driving under the influence. He was signed by the Chiefs after the 2014 season, but he was released just before the start of training camp. He eventually end up in the CFL.
