Predators head into All-Star Break on an 8-game point streak
Game Recaps
Tampa Bay Lightning
The Nashville Predators continued their home stand on Tuesday night as they faced off against the league’s best team, the Tampa Bay Lightning. It was a back and forth game for both teams. The Predators were able to get to a 3-2 lead in the 3rd period, but Steven Stamkos scored a late goal to tie it and send it into overtime. In overtime, Yanni Gourde scored the game winner for the Lightning, as they won 4-3. The Predators were still able to come out of the game with a point, continuing their point streak.
New Jersey Devils
The Predators headed to New Jersey on Thursday to take on the struggling Devils. The Devils have played good hockey just about all year, but had struggled recently losing three of their last four games before facing the Predators. The game started slow, but the Predators were able to get goals from Subban, Mattias Ekholm and Viktor Arvidsson. Rinne was able to hold the Devils scoreless for his 4th shutout of the year.
