The Nashville Predators will take on the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, beginning on Thursday night.

The Nashville Predators had their most successful regular season in their history, breaking countless records.

They finished the regular season with a record of 53-18-11 and a total of 117 points. They also finished with the year off by winning the Central Division, the Western Conference, and the President’s Trophy all in the same night in a win against the Washington Capitals. They finished with the best win total in Predators history and they also captured the Central Division, the Western Conference, and the President’s Trophy for the first time ever.

The Nashville Predators found out their opponent for the first round on Saturday night, as the Colorado Avalanche defeated the St. Louis Blues, 5-2, to clinch a playoff spot. The Avalanche finished the year off with a record of 43-30-9 and a total of 95 points, capturing the 2nd wildcard spot in the Western Conference.
