Way-Too-Early Predictions for Titans 2018-19 schedule
By Chris Clark
The Titans released their 2018-19 season schedule on Thursday night as part of the NFL Schedule Release. Here are some of my way-too-early predictions.

My initial thoughts on the schedule is the erratic order of home and away games. The Titans will need to be great early on the road if they want to give themselves a shot at a successful season.
If they can establish themselves at home this season, that will set them up nicely in December when the playoffs start looming. They have three home games in December.
Of course, when the schedule order was released, I could not wait to give my predictions. I will give my predictions for each stanza of the season (four games at a time). Here we go.
**These predictions will be solely based off the Titans last season, but with my predictions I am assuming there is some improvement made in key areas**
FIRST STANZA
@ Miami — WIN
vs Texans — LOSS
@ Jacksonville — WIN
vs Eagles — LOSS
The Titans will get off to a strong start on the season, winning on the road to spoil Miami’s home opener. They’ll then come back to face Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans, where they will fall – but not as bad as they did last season. The Titans will continue their dominance over Jacksonville, but fall to the reigning defending Superbowl Champs.
SECOND STANZA
@ Buffalo — WIN
vs Ravens — LOSS
@ Chargers (LONDON) — WIN
@ Dallas (MNF) — WIN
The Titans will begin to establish themselves in this quarter of the season. I believe there are three very winnable games for the Titans in this stanza, and one toss up. With Mike Vrabel’s new system, Mariota and the offense should be more explosive. Tennessee will get two big wins in London and on Monday Night Football. After the prime time game, the Titans will begin to turn some heads in the NFL.
THIRD STANZA
vs Patriots — LOSS
@ Indianapolis — WIN
@ Houston (MNF) — WIN
vs Jets — WIN
The Patriots will be the only bump in the road for the Titans. Coming off a four game win streak, they will fall hard to New England, but regroup and defeat the Colts, Texans, and Jets. Those are winnable games, assuming the Titans offense and secondary improves from last year. If it’s more of the same, the Colts and Texans games could be losses.
FOURTH STANZA
vs Jaguars — LOSS
@ New York Giants — WIN
vs Redskins — WIN
vs Colts — WIN
The Titans won’t sweep the Jaguars this time, but they will continue their win streak over the Colts and finish the season strong. However, that Jaguars game will be crucial in the final standings of the AFC South, but once again the AFC South will come down to the final two weeks. The schedule makers put the Jaguars against the Texans in week 17 anticipating a possible Deshaun Watson versus Blake Bortles clash for the AFC South crown, but I believe it’ll come down to Tennessee and either the Jaguars or Texans.
FINAL RECORD — 11-5
