#2 – Tim Jordan and the Volunteers run game

Tim Jordan stuck out for the Volunteers last week. Although the Volunteers didn’t have many positives during the game, Jordan was one of the highlights. Jordan finished with 116 rushing yards on 20 carries, while also rushing for one touchdown. Jordan also broke 12 tackles on Saturday against West Virginia, which is the most in the country in broken tackles.

Despite Jordan having a great game against West Virginia, the staff wanted him to hit the holes better. He played great but could’ve hit the holes better, especially the run shown below.

Jordan got a majority of the carries, as Ty Chandler went down with an injury early in the game.

Ty Chandler is currently day-to-day, according to Jeremy Pruitt. It’ll be interesting to see if Chandler actually plays during the game. I personally don’t think the Volunteers will necessarily need him in this game, as they should handle ETSU. I would rather give him some time to rebound, getting him ready for the UTEP and Florida matchups.

The Volunteers still also have Madre London and Jeremy Banks who will get a good amount of reps this weekend as well. The Volunteers will look to establish their offense by running the ball, but that also means the offensive line has to play better.
