#4 – How the offensive line fares against a weaker opponent

The offensive line for the Volunteers struggled at times last week. They couldn’t have started the game off worse, as Brandon Kennedy let a WVU defender right through the middle. The Volunteers were forced to punt after three straight negative plays.

Once the game got going, the Volunteers offensive line finally got settled in. Jordan settled in and was able to run behind the line. The line was also able to give Guarantano more time in the pocket for him to hit receivers down the field.

During the game last week, the offensive line was switched up a lot, as a few different guys saw action just a few drives in.

Jahmir Johnson will start this week for the Volunteers at the left guard spot.

A lot of the Volunteers success this weekend will depend on the offensive line. If the Volunteers are able to run behind the offensive line, they will likely have a good day. If they are able to give Guarantano, and hopefully Chryst, time in the pocket, the Volunteers will run away in this game, getting their first win of the season.
