#5 – The crowd

The crowd will play a big factor in this game. Of course, it all depends on how the players play on the field, but the crowd can make a huge impact. It will likely be a sellout crowd in Neyland Stadium of 102,425.

It might not be much, but the crowd noise can cause a team to go to a silent snap, which is what the Florida Gators might have to do this Saturday. The crowd noise can even cause a team to call a timeout, which might not seem like a big deal, but could play a huge impact as the game goes on.

Personally, some of the loudest games I have seen or been a part of in Neyland Stadium were the Volunteers matchup against Oklahoma in 2015 or against Florida in 2016. If the crowd is able to get the loud this Saturday, they can make an impact on the outcome of a play.

Pruitt said this week he expects the crowd to be raucous, and Pruitt, I’m sure you will get that from the fans.

Despite these two teams not being as good as they have been in the past, this will be a huge game for both teams, but especially for the Volunteers. A win in this game would put the Volunteers at 3-1 on the year before they head down a brutal stretch against Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama.
