#2 – Contributions from the JoFA Line

The JoFA line has no doubt been the best Predators line for the last few seasons and has been one of the best lines in the NHL. Filip Forsberg had the most points on the team last season finishing with 64 points with 26 goals, while Viktor Arvidsson was second with 61 points. Ryan Johansen was fourth on the team, finishing with 54 points, including 39 assists. The year before, those three players led the Predators in points as well.

The line itself might not put up the numbers other top lines put up, such as the Pittsburgh Penguins, but they still are one of the best lines around.

They seem to be sporadic at times but can put up a game as they did in Game 2 of the second round against the Jets, where they combined for eight points, including three goals and five assists.

Forsberg has jumped out to a good start so far this preseason, as he had a hat trick in his first preseason game against the Florida Panthers last week. Johansen has one goal and three assists through his first two preseason games, while Arvidsson has posted three assists so far. These three haven’t seemed to miss a beat and that is very promising for the Predators and their fans.

These three guys have been players that the Predators have leaned on during their recent success and all things point to them having another successful year. If these three put up great numbers yet again, look for the Predators to be one of the best teams in the league.
