The Vanderbilt football team will look to end their cold spell and pull off an upset when the Florida Gators come to town. Here are our sitewide predictions for that game!

The Vanderbilt Commodores after hit a dry spell after starting the season off hot. The Florida Gators, on the other hand, have caught fire after an early season loss to Kentucky. They have pulled together four straight wins and are looking to make it five against Vanderbilt.

Stetson Marlin’s Prediction:

After a few weeks into the season, I was riding high on Vanderbilt. After they have struggled these last few weeks, I have a very different outlook on this team. They have looked lost these last few weeks and have yet another tough matchup this weekend when the Gators come to town. No matter how bad or good these teams are, this game is always a close one and I think this game on Saturday has the chance to be close again if Vanderbilt’s offense is able to put up some points. I would look for Kyle Shurmur and Kalija Lipscomb to connect a good bit during the game, but it won’t be enough and the Gators will win their fifth straight game.

Austin Wright’s Prediction:

Vandy has another difficult game with Florida coming to town. The Gators are coming in hot after a big win against LSU in the swamp and will be ready to light up Vandy’s defense. One of the Dore’s biggest keys for the game will be how they slow down the Gators and produce their own offense.

Ke’Shawn Vaughn should be a big factor for the black and gold offense as they will attempt to dice up the Gators’ 19th ranked total defense. Should Vandy follow through, they could keep it close with Florida but they will ultimately lose due to the Gators speed.
