Alabama became the first team to beat the Tennessee Volunteers twelve straight times; however, the Volunteers can still walk away with some positives.

After Jeremy Pruitt and the Tennessee Volunteers went to Auburn and pulled off the upset, there were some who thought they might actually be able to test Alabama this week.  I don’t believe anyone thought they could actually pull off the upset, but still, perhaps, play them a little closer. Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide had other plans.

The Crimson Tide headed into Knoxville with an undefeated record of 7-0 and left with yet another win, blowing out the Volunteers 58-21.

This game had a lot of meaning for a few guys on each sideline. Jeremy Pruitt had a ton of ties to the Alabama Crimson Tide, considering he was the defensive coordinator there for the last two years, began his coaching career there as well as playing there during his college days. Pruitt helped recruit a good number of those guys on the Alabama sideline, so this game had some special meaning to Coach Pruitt and those he recruited.

Butch Jones, the analyst or intern or whatever you want to call him, got to enjoy his first cigar on the Third Saturday of October. Jones joined Alabama after he was fired by the University of Tennessee last season. Many Alabama players took to Twitter to show love to Jones, which many Volunteer fans find hilarious. They even gave him a Gatorade bath after the game. It looks like the Bama players are making a joke out of it.

Although a loss like this, especially to a rival, is never easy, there are some positive things Tennessee can walk away with.
