#2 – Jeremy Pruitt Is Determined To Turn Things Around

During halftime, Pruitt made a promise to his team that he “would recruit 25 other guys so they wouldn’t have to play in another game like this.”  Those are very strong words coming from the head coach of the Volunteers and some see it as though he is criticizing his roster.  Coach Pruitt has shown that he is not going to be okay with losing and he has said time and time again that he expects to win every game.

He is not, however, the only person involved with this team who has made comments like this. There have been several players who have said they need more guys on the team who want to do the right thing and get the program moving in the right direction again.

I took these comments by Pruitt to mean that he is not going to give up on this team and if they will continue to believe in him and what he is trying to do he will go out and find more guys who want to do the same thing.

Coach Pruitt has not been on to mince words since arriving on Rocky Top.  He walked into a tough situation and has met the task of changing the culture at Tennessee head on.  He is going to ruffle some feathers along the way, but what is important is that the team is starting to take on his personality and that is a step in the right direction.
