#3 – Alabama Is As Good As Advertised

As much as Tennessee fans hate to admit it, the Alabama Crimson Tide are every bit as good as advertised.  Led by Heisman candidate Tua Tagovailoa, it’s hard to imagine any team beating them this year.  Tua has thrown 25 touchdowns this season and has yet to throw a single interception.

Heading into this game, some were saying Alabama’s defense was not as good as it has been in years past.  While they may not be in the top five like they usually are, they are still very good.  Yesterday they were able to Tennessee’s offense to just 258 total yards and only 31 yards on the ground.  The Crimson Tide defense was led by Deionte Thompson, who had 7 tackles, and they were able to sack Tennessee’s quarterback three times.

For Tennessee fans, Saturday was definitely hard to watch.  Not only did Guarantano take a beating and have to leave early, but the former coach of the Volunteers, Butch Jones, was on the other sideline celebrating a victory over his former team.

Although it may take a couple of years to get there, it seems like Tennessee has the right man for the job and if everyone can be a little patient, Jeremy Pruitt will get things turned around.
