#2 – Hugh Freeze

I would personally love to see this happen. Hugh Freeze has a history in the SEC and would surely love to come back and coach.

After the Volunteers end up hiring Freeze, they might receive some heat from the pro-Schiano fanbase, after the debacle that went on in Knoxville last season. While Freeze has some bad history at Ole Miss, I think it would be a great hire to bring Freeze to Tennessee.

During his tenure as the Ole Miss head coach, he was well known for high powered offenses and surely could bring that to the University of Tennessee. They might run into the same problem that they did with Kingsbury as his offense doesn’t match up with Pruitt, but the Volunteers might have to take a gamble and get a proven coach to help improve the offense.

Darren McFarland tweeted this early today, regarding Freeze. If the Volunteers want to make this move, they need to hurry, as his name has been considered for the Auburn offensive coordinator job as well.
