Frank Frangie is the play-by-play guy for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but on his time off he seems to enjoy talking about the Vols. He’s tweeted about Tennessee a ton of times but here’s his first tweet about the Vols.

If you don’t know what quarterback Frangie is referring to or can’t quite remember who was under center for the Vols in 2012 let me give you a quick reminder.

The Vols quarterback in 2012 was Tyler Bray, and he has made a decent career in the NFL for himself as a backup, but that’s not the problem I have with Frangie’s take.

That part of his tweet was accurate; the only part that flopped was the first sentence.

“I had a hunch Tennessee would be for real.”

Well, that was a little premature. Especially since that was the first game of the season, that week one matchup was against North Carolina State if you couldn’t recall and the Vols won 35-21.

A solid win to start the season in the Chick-fil-A kickoff game but I don’t know if you can judge Tennessee’s season on a win over North Carolina State.

The Vols went on to finish 5-7 in Derek Dooley’s third and final year, and Frangie quickly realized he couldn’t take one game and base the rest of the season off of that especially with Tennessee.

Well, after searching through Twitter and finding some of these takes, I found them being therapeutic. It’s always nice to go back and relive things that ultimately broke your heart.

Next. Vols offense projected top-ten most improved. dark

But that’s a part of being a sports fan and an even bigger part of being a Tennessee sports fan.
