We are very close to the Titans Preseason getting underway as they will face the Eagles in their first “real” action of 2019.

The Preseason is mostly filled with some younger players looking to establish their name within the league mixed in with some rotation players during the first couple of weeks. Don’t expect anything less from the Titans on Thursday when they take on the Eagles.

Depending on how much you enjoy NFL football, the preseason can be pretty fun. You get a glimpse of some players who could be the future of your franchise. The only bad part is they are surrounded by a lot of players who won’t be with that team for very long.

I like to watch a little bit of a preseason game if I get the chance. Once we get to third-string and beyond that, I’m pretty much out though since not a lot will be happening in that short period.

I know I’m probably not supposed to say that, but this is all supposed to be about honesty, right? I usually don’t watch the fourth quarter of preseason games, at least not intently.

I am excited to see what players take the field for the Titans on Thursday and how well they perform. I’ll tune in to most of the game, and if it has kept my interest I’ll watch the whole thing, but I’m really going to be focused on the first quarter of the game.

If any starters play, that’s usually when they’ll get their handful of snaps in. One player I hope to see out there is Ryan Tannehill. I don’t know if he’ll play or how much he’ll play, but if he does, I’d like to see him lead a few drives down the field.

We don’t know the outcome of the Marcus Mariota situation and Tannehill could be the quarterback in 2020 so if Mariota ends up not working out then I want to see what Tannehill can do on the field and if he can lead an offense down the field.

We won’t be seeing any of A.J. Brown or Derrick Henry mostly due to the fact they haven’t been practicing much or at all. Hopefully, both of those guys will be ready to go by Week 3 or 4 of the preseason.

There’s not a lot you should expect though heading into this game. If you’ve watched one preseason game, you have watched them all. They can be kind of exciting at the beginning, but they slow down throughout the game.

I’m excited to see some of the young guys on defense. I think that’s going to be a big focus point for the Titans this week. Seeing where some of these newer, young guys fit in on the depth chart.

We will get to see them compete at a pretty high level in the first half, which is exciting for me. I also am curious to know how the offensive line looks. I don’t think they would have all the starters out there if any, but it’s always good to know your depth.

Like I said before, don’t expect much going into this game. It’s just a formal warm-up game to get the rookies and backups up to NFL game speed.

dark. Next. The Titans are predicted to have below average record

There aren’t too many players I specifically want to watch just units as a whole. It’s always fun to see your squad finally take the field again even if it is the preseason and we will get a head start with that on Thursday.
