Tennessee Football: Georgia State trolls the Vols after win
Georgia State is capitalizing on its victory over Tennessee with a shirt that takes a shot at Tennessee and the SEC.
“It Just Means More” has been the SEC’s mantra the past few seasons after the ACC released their “It Just Means Less” slogan. The SEC obviously did it to make fun of the ACC and say that SEC football does mean more than ACC football.
Whenever a team wins a bowl game or a big game, like Georgia State defeating Tennessee, there’s usually a shirt released celebrating the victory and that’s what Georgia State did.
With the new shirt, Georgia State has taken aim at Tennessee and the SEC with a new shirt. Yes, it triggered some Tennessee fans but we were embarrassed and they have every right to go after Tennessee the way they did.
And to be honest, I kind of like the shirt. It’s creative and we deserve to have shirt made after us. Georgia State has taken the “It Just Means More” slogan and ran with it for the Tennessee game.
In his post game press conference, Georgia State head coach Shawn Elliott emphasized that saying, “They say the SEC just means more … Today’s game meant more to us.”
Georgia State is also taking it to a new line of merch with the saying “This Means More” on the back of the shirt with the score of the game below it.
The front of the shirt is also taking a shot at Tennessee with “#UpseT” across the chest with the score below it. I have to applaude Georgia State because this is a creative shirt and as a student at MTSU if the Blue Raiders would’ve beaten Michigan I’d be all over that shirt.
If Jeremy Pruitt was smart he would take this and turn it into motivation for the team. The Vols have BYU this Saturday and even though they didn’t look very good either they will manhandle Tennessee if Pruitt brings that same team back into Neyland.
