The Tennessee Titans entered Week 1 as big underdogs but left with a 43-13 blowout win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

The Browns were almost unanimously picked as the favorite in this game from nearly every talking head and writer in America. Well, that didn’t affect the Tennessee Titans players or coaches because they took care of business with a 43-13 win over the Browns.

Even if I said, the Titans would win I wouldn’t think they would win by more than ten points. I was dead wrong on that prediction as the Titans put the game away in the fourth quarter after a series of pick-sixes. 21 total fourth-quarter points for the Titans sealed the deal in Cleveland.

The defense showed up and showed out proving they are a lot better than everyone thought. I was feeling a little worried about this game for the Titans, but after that performance, I think they have a chance to go 3-1 or maybe 4-0 through their first four games of the season.

I think that because of Marcus Mariota‘s second-half performance. The Titans offense scored 24 second-half points behind Mariota’s leadership. He finished the day throwing for 248 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.

I said if the Titans want to have a successful season, then Mariota needs to return to performing as he did in 2016 and if Week 1 is any indication as to how the rest of the season will be then I think Mariota could reach that level.

I don’t think you can argue that the Titans looked bad at any phase throughout this game. They had a slow start, but once the offense and defense started to get going, they weren’t going to be stopped. Can’t forget to mention they also sacked Baker Mayfield for a safety too.

After complaining about the Vols for two weeks, I don’t have anything to complain about in this performance. The team never let up and put on more steam even though it was late in the fourth quarter and they had already locked up the win.

Next. Blue Raiders prove they’re the best team in Tennessee. dark

It actually feels kind of good to win in dominant fashion and not have horrible play-calling or your quarterback not be able to make a consistent read. Enjoy your Sunday and weekend folks NFL football is back.
