After an ESPN article was written about his time at Tennessee, Lane Kiffin offers support for the Vols this Saturday as they take on Florida.

Lane Kiffin has been very vocal about Tennessee Football on Twitter over the past few years offering his support to the program. He stirred up VolTwitter again this week after ESPN did a piece on him.

Chris Low of ESPN detailed Kiffin’s short time at Tennessee which included the good, bad and the ugly. If you haven’t read it, I would highly recommend it. It’s very entertaining. Low starts it off with now LSU head coach Ed Orgeron throwing a projector in Alabama.

You can’t start an article off any better than that. The thrown projector led to the rest of the team throwing “anything” they could get their hands on. I won’t ruin anymore of the article as it has many surprises in it.

But that’s not the only thing that had VolTwitter going. Kiffin also gave his support for the upcoming Florida game, including a score prediction.

As the FAU coach and former Tennessee, Alabama coach I would assume he already doesn’t like Florida, but maybe he’s still a big Tennessee supporter. He was first asked if he was rooting for the Vols on Saturday and he responded with a resounding answer.

Then after Tennessee fans figured that out, they had to get a score prediction from him. If he’s right, Saturday’s game will be very entertaining, and it will all end on a positive note for Vol fans.

The score prediction question came from a Florida fan, so I love that he went against the grain and took the Vols in a thriller. Of course, Florida fans didn’t like his prediction, which made it all so much better.

I know we’re in a lull right now that’s in another lull inside another lull to the point where we’ll take anyone including Kiffin, but my goodness I still love the man, and I’d take him back in a heartbeat. He’s been all class since leaving Tennessee, and you have to respect it at least.

And if we’re going to keep running through coaches, we might as well give him another chance to see what he can do long-term. I mean, what’s the worst that could happen? He go 4-8 or 3-9? We’re already on that path this year so let’s take a chance.

dark. Next. It might be worth bringing Bryce Thompson to Florida

But that’s just wishful thinking on my part. I don’t think Fulmer would bring Kiffin back to Knoxville after how he left, but anything is possible. It’s hard not to root for the guy though after all the good things he’s said about Tennessee and the fan base.
