After the Buffalo Bills defeated the Tennessee Titans 14-7 in Nashville, Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson said Taylor Lewan is “a fake tough guy.”

The Buffalo Bills ran their mouths after Sunday’s win over the Tennessee Titans, and I don’t expect them to stop as long as they continue to win.

Taylor Lewan returned to the Titans for his first game of the season after a four-game suspension, and Lewan was the subject of one attack from the Bills.

"“We knew what his weakness was — he gives up inside moves and this was an inside game,” said Shaq Lawson. “He’s a fake tough guy… he was quiet today.”"

Shaq Lawson wasn’t the only one to comment on Lewan’s debut. Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips also said he was happy for Lewan to be back.

"“I was really happy Lewan came back today. I’m glad he could be a part of that today”"

I don’t know Lewan personally, but all I’m going to say is I would not purposely mess with him. Lewan didn’t have a great game on Sunday, so I guess Lawson has room to talk for his performance, at least.

Zero tackles are good, right? If so, then Lawson had a heck of a game because he didn’t register a tackle or assist. He actually has only registered a tackle, assist, or any statistic in three of the Bills’ first five games. Wow, maybe we had a legendary fake tough guy vs. fake tough guy matchup.

Lawson doesn’t have any room to talk, but Phillips’ comments can at least be backed up. Phillips had three sacks on Sunday and was a big player in shutting down Marcus Mariota and the Titans.

Lewan didn’t respond to Lawson’s comments. Instead, he took another route where he addressed his team and saying they need to be better all around.

"“We have to be better, and that’s myself included. Upstairs, coaches, players — everybody has to be better. That’s gotta be consistent… it’s getting out of hand,” Lewan said after the game."

Without Lewan, the Titans allowed 17 sacks through the first four games of the season. That didn’t change in Lewan’s return with the Bills totaling five sacks on Sunday.

Next. Once again, Marcus Mariota can’t get it done. dark

Sunday was nothing but a big L for the Titans, and there’s nothing they can do about that now. They need to move on and get ready for the Denver Broncos.
