Nashville Predators: The Preds are the best team in hockey change my mind

The Nashville Predators continue to roll as they took care of the Las Vegas Golden Knights 5-2 as they continue their trip out West.

The Nashville Predators proved they are the best team in hockey on Tuesday night with their win over Las Vegas in the Sin City.

After the Preds’ loss to the L.A. Kings, it looked like Nashville might take a step or two back, but they bounced back and dominated the Golden Knights with a 5-2 victory.

Not only did they take care of business, but all four lines scored a goal, and that includes another power-play goal. Oh, and let me tell you how great it feels to score power-play goals again. Hint: It’s amazing.

The offense for the Predators was a highlight throughout the game, but we don’t need to overlook Pekka Rinne and the defense’s performance. Rinne fended off 33 of the 35 shots from the Kings, and Las Vegas is a good offensive team, so Rinne’s performance is nothing to overlook.

Last night’s game was actually the first time Rinne had defeated the Golden Knights in their three years in the NHL. He’s had some bad luck against Las Vegas, but he’s finally overcome his tough times out West and didn’t allow the Knights a chance to come back.

Rinne has now started the season 4-0-0 and is tied for first in the league in wins. No better way to start a season for Rinne as some fans are expecting him to take a step back at some point as he continues to get older.

I don’t know if that will come this year in over the next couple of years, but I can tell you if he keeps doing what he’s doing, then there’s no team that can beat the Predators in a seven-game series.

That’s why I am saying the Predators are the best team in hockey. Their offense is on fire and now have a power-play goal in five-straight games.

We all know how the power-play affected the Preds all of last season and the playoffs, so seeing some success is also another move in the right direction for Nashville. If the Predators can develop a consistent, successful power-play offense by playoff time, then I second my previous statement.

This Predators team is dominant and one of the best teams in the NHL (I’d say the outright best), and they continue to get better.

Next. The entire Titans franchise is a joke. dark

If they continue to improve at this pace throughout the season, then I am very confident that they will be a top seed in the West and will be hard to stop in the Playoffs.
