Ben Roethlisberger is in the same boat for me as Eli Manning in being a QB who used to be elite but is now trying to survive until retirement.

The only reason I wouldn’t want Ben Roethlisberger in Nashville is because of his injury. He’s a ticking time bomb and may have less time than Manning in the league, but he still offers some sage advice for a young QB.

He is a Super Bowl Champion like Manning and has had some recent success in today’s NFL. I also think he could hang with the current Titans schedule better than Manning could, too.

I like Big Ben, and I think he would be a success with the Titans, but the likelihood of the Steelers dumping him for a couple of draft picks is unlikely unless it’s pretty enticing.

I would imagine both the Steelers and Big Ben want him to retire in Pittsburgh, so although I would like to see him in a Titans uniform, I think this might be the unlikeliest choice for the Titans.

Big Ben hasn’t had a losing season at quarterback since 2006 when he went 7-8. He’s also played all 16 games just three times in his career, so it might not be worth the investment for the Titans.

Manning and Roethlisberger are two older quarterbacks that the Titans could entertain the idea of bringing to Nashville, but it’s unlikely it actually happens. The last three quarterbacks I think are a bit more likely and they would be a better fit long-term.
