At 37 years old, Philip Rivers might be a trade piece in the back of the Chargers’ mind if they plan to find a new, young quarterback.

Philip Rivers might be the outright best player out of these five guys and maybe the hardest to get for the Titans.

Last year, the Chargers were contenders, but this year Los Angeles doesn’t look like they’re going to be in the same spot.

If he continues to regress I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a possible trade piece for the Chargers to get a top draft pick for 2020.

Rivers could also be an important asset for Tennessee in the future if he were to make his way to Nashville. He has led the Chargers to a losing record only three times in his career.

He knows what it takes to win only if his franchise has been a bit more consistent he might’ve brought a championship to San Diego.

Now, he may be looking for his home post-retirement. He was born in Alabama and played college football in North Carolina at North Carolina State, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he looks to move back East for his life after football.

I know Amy Adams Strunk loves Mariota, but she needs to make sure whatever happens over the next six to eight months is for the best for the franchise, not the best for Mariota.

If the Titans need to trade Mariota, then they have to get the best deal possible. If they look to get another quarterback in the deal, then I think any of these quarterbacks that I listed would be a good choice.

dark. Next. It would be beneficial to trade Marcus Mariota

Then again, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Titans opt to let Mariota walk in the offseason and keep Ryan Tannehill as the veteran backup for the new quarterback that’s drafted. The world may never know, but the one thing I do know is the Titans will probably mess it up.
