Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry lit up the Raiders defense en route to a Tennessee Titans 42-21 road win and one step closer to a playoff spot.
Early Sunday morning, it was expected to be raining all day, which could cause a slop fest. Fortunately for the Titans, that was not the case, and it was sunny skies throughout the game, allowing the Titans to do what they wanted against the Titans.
Well, Henry did that, and a little more with a total of 103 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and Ryan Tannehill made his job a little easier with a big day through the air.
Tannehill threw for 391 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Tannehill and Henry dominated the Raiders defense on Sunday. The special teams and defense also helped the Titans offense with two touchdowns.
The Raiders’ defense could not stop the Raiders offense no matter who had the ball. The Titans finished the day with 552 total yards on the day.
Now the Titans have tied the Texans for first place in the AFC South. The final three weeks in the season will play a pivotal part in the Titans’ chances of making the playoffs.
Next week the Titans will face the Texans for sole possession of first place in the AFC South. The Titans will then face the Saints and then the Texans for the season finale and could very well be a winner-go-home game.
The Titans continue their hot streak with another road win and are one step closer to making the playoffs. Now the Titans need to go beat the Texans to continue to push towards that playoff spot.
