Tennessee Titans’ safety Kevin Byard is ready to take on the Houston Texans, and he is ready to shut down the Texans’ offense.

The Tennessee Titans need a win this Sunday against division rival Houston Texans in another win-or-go-home game in the final week of the season, and Kevin Byard is ready to lead his defense and his team to victory.

The Titans are currently on a two-game losing streak, including a loss to the New Orleans Saints last week and a loss to the Texans two weeks ago.

Week 17 will be the week the Titans need to bounce back with a win if it wants to continue its season. This will be a statement win on Sunday for the Titans, and Byard is ready.

Both teams will play at full strength with every starter getting snaps, and Byard expected nothing less from either team.

"“I mean, for sure,” Titans safety Kevin Byard said. “We are definitely going to go into the game preparing for it, regardless if those guys are banged-up or how they feel about the season and stuff like that.”"

With that being said, both the Texans and the Titans will try to ruin each other’s Sunday with a win. The Texans are going to try to knock the Titans out of the playoffs on Sunday, and the Titans are trying to get into the playoffs, so there’s a lot at stake.

Byard knows the stakes heading into Sunday’s game, and he expects Houston to come guns blazing and nothing less.

"“I mean, they are our divisional rival, so I anticipate those guys coming in and trying to beat us and try to spoil us not getting into the playoffs,” Byard said. “So we have to go into this game like it is a playoff game and do everything we possibly can.”"

Byard is ready to buck up and lock down the Texans, and I hope he’s going to bring his teammates with him.

This is the biggest game of the Titans’ season, and a lot of players can earn future jobs and contracts with a win on Sunday in a hostile environment against a division rival in a win-or-go-home game.

My prediction is that Byard is going to shut down the Texans and whoever he guards throughout the game.

He’s not just a fan. He’s a Pro-Bowler and one of the best safeties in the league. It’s going to be hard to shut down the Texans’ offense, but I think Byard is capable of doing just that, and I think this can be the game the offense bounces back too.

Tennessee Titans strategy to beat Texans could be a familiar one. dark. Next

The Titans face the Texans at 3:25 CT in Houston, and the Titans are currently a 3.5 point favorite heading into the game, so the expectations are high once again this week for Tennessee.
