Ex-Pats are the reason the Tennessee Titans ended the Patriots season
The Tennessee Titans beat the New England Patriots on Saturday and ex-Pats are the reason the Titans are advancing to the Divisional Round.
On Saturday, the Tennessee Titans beat the New England Patriots 20-13 in Foxborough to advance to the Divisional Round in a defense-heavy low scoring game.
It took the whole team to get the win as it always does when you play against the Patriots, and the Titans did exactly that and a little more.
There are a few ex-Patriots that are now with the Titans that played a big role in winning the game and getting the team to this point.
Ex-Patriot Jon Robinson has put this team together and without him who knows what path the Titans would’ve taken or where they’d be right now. It probably wouldn’t be in the Divisional Round of the playoffs with a Wild Card win over the Patriots.
The head man on the field, Mike Vrabel, is another ex-Patriot that is now with the Titans, and he must have learned a little something from his former head coach Bill Belichick because his late fourth-quarter coaching was some of the best coaching he’s done this year.
One ex-Patriot on the field even clinched the win for the Titans with a pick-six with less than 30 seconds left in the game.
Logan Ryan clinched the game with a nine-yard pick-six with nine seconds remaining in the game to end the Patriots’ and Tom Brady’s season.
Who would’ve thought that three Patriots at every level in the NFL franchise system would have been some of the biggest contributors to defeating the Patriots in the playoffs and ending its season early.
Of course, there are other big contributors on the Titans and big contributors that helped beat the Patriots on Saturday like Derrick Henry, but we will talk about his performance a little bit later.
Enjoy the win Titans; it’s a big one for the franchise, and it could lead to good things to come in the future. Does that mean a win over the Baltimore Ravens next Saturday? I guess we will have to wait and find that out.
