The Tennessee Titans played a team from Baltimore and beat them soundly to advance to the AFC Championship game for the first time since 2002.

It has been an exciting second half of the regular season for the Tennessee Titans, and the fun has carried over into the playoffs.

Last week during Wild Card Weekend, the Titans killed a dynasty, and this Saturday in the Divisional Round, the Titans beat a team from Baltimore.

That team from Baltimore is the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens, and from kickoff, the Ravens didn’t have a chance. The Titans came ready to play from the first snap, and the Ravens didn’t.

The offense was a big question going into Saturday night’s game, but it wasn’t an issue. I’ll get to that in a second, but first, let’s talk about the defense because the defense does not get enough credit.

The Titans’ defense has been dominant through most of the season while the offense has been doing enough to get the win. The Titans dominated on all sides of the football on Saturday, and the defense set the tone early.

On the defense’s first drive of the game, Kevin Byard intercepted Lamar Jackson which set the Titans’ offense up for a touchdown and the first score of the game.

The Titans’ defense only got better from there. The Ravens only scored six points on two field goals through the first half and 12 points total.

The Titans forced three turnovers, two interceptions, and a fumble, along with three turnover on downs. The defense was the leading force in Saturday’s game for the Titans, and the defense controlled the pace of the game and absolutely shut down the Ravens’ offense.

Jackson finished the game throwing for 365 yards but only one touchdown, and he threw two interceptions. The popular motto “bend don’t break” was what the Titans did throughout the game. Although Jackson was able to move the ball, he was unable to put the ball in the endzone.

On the offensive side of the football, Derrick Henry is once again the hero. Henry finished the night with 195 rushing yards, three passing yards, and a passing touchdown. Yes, a passing touchdown.

Ryan Tannehill did do enough to get the win. He finished with 88 passing yards and two touchdowns — nothing too flashy just how he likes it.

It was a heck of a performance for the Titans, and now the Titans are going to get ready to play in the AFC Championship. I would never have thought I’d be saying that sentence when the Titans were 2-4.

The Titans will know its opponent after the Texans-Chiefs game on Sunday. Unfortunately, no matter who wins, the game won’t be played in Nashville, but I have no doubt that plenty of Titans fans will travel to wherever the game will be played.
