It seems as if Marcus Mariota’s time in a Tennessee Titans uniform has come to an end, which means there’s one last thing to do. Thank you, Marcus.

Regardless of your opinion of Marcus Mariota from his time with the Tennessee Titans, he deserves a “thank you” from everyone who has cheered for the Titans over the past five years.

If you make your way to Nissan Stadium in 2020, there’s a good chance you will come across a few Mariota jerseys. In fact, probably half of the jerseys in the stadium might be Mariota jerseys, depending on who the quarterback will be for the 2020 season.

Mariota and the city of Nashville fell in love with each other, and you could tell from both sides. Mariota was the guy for the Titans, the franchise quarterback until he wasn’t.

Everything fell apart so quickly for Mariota in 2019; many Titans fans didn’t get a chance to adjust to a Titans team without Mariota running the offense. This is leaving him in a spot to still be loved by many on his way out.

Even after everything that has happened, I think Mariota still loves the Titans and Nashville. It’s been his home since leaving Oregon, and he adapted pretty well coming out of college.

He even shared his experience with the Titans and Nashville after the Titans’ AFC Championship loss saying, “It was a gift.”

If I had to guess, Mariota will no longer be a Titan when free agency comes around, which means the Titans will move forward with 8 at quarterback for the first time since 2014.

We don’t know where Mariota will end up, but hopefully, he goes somewhere outside of the division so we can continue to cheer him on.

No matter what happens, as I said before, Mariota has done a lot for the Titans franchise and deserves nothing other than our support in the future and a “thank you” for everything he did in his five seasons in Nashville.
