Tennessee Titans: Ryan Tannehill is already winning the offseason
Ryan Tannehill and the Tennessee Titans might not have won the AFC Championship, but the Titans QB is already winning the offseason.
Just over a week ago, the Tennessee Titans were eliminated from the playoffs and lost their chance to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
That’s not taking away from Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill as he’s starting his offseason with a bang.
Tannehill is picking up one Titans fan’s spirits with a trip to the Super Bowl! Tannehill is going out of his way to secure two tickets to the big game, but it’s not for any ordinary fan.
Army veteran Dustin Maxfield is the lucky fan that will be spending the weekend in Miami with two tickets to the Super Bowl.
Tannehill took to Twitter to congratulate Maxfield on the tickets and all of the hard work he has done to serve his country.
Maxfield is from Clarksville, Tennessee, served 16 years in the United States Army and served five tours, three in Iraq, and two in Afghanistan.
For Tannehill, there’s a good possibility that Tannehill returns to Nashville in 2020 and beyond for his second year with the Titans, but it’s still uncertain.
Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk and general manager Jon Robinson have a difficult decision to make surrounding the quarterback position, and it could become more difficult if Tom Brady is interested in playing for the Titans in 2020.
But regardless of all of that, Tannehill is starting off his offseason with a win by giving this veteran tickets to the Super Bowl.
I think it is fair to say that Tannehill has already won over the Titans fanbase, but actions like this is what makes a fanbase want to keep a player. Of course, his performance on the field plays a huge part in that, but this certainly won’t hurt Tannehill’s favorability with the fanbase.
