Jeremy Pruitt is building something special as Tennessee football had another successful National Signing Day in a surprising turn of events.

Tennessee football has been pretty good when it comes to recruiting in recent years, but Jeremy Pruitt is taking the Vols to the next level.

We saw Tennessee get some big signings on Early Signing Day in December, and Pruitt has also continued to build and improve the coaching staff throughout the offseason.

A report came out a few days ago that Alabama and Auburn is scared that Tennessee could begin to start stealing their recruits. Well, I hate it for them because if Pruitt wants his guy, he’s going to go get his guy.

That’s exactly what Pruitt and the Vols did on Wednesday. As players were making career-defining decisions across the entire country on National Signing Day, one player flipped from Florida to Tennessee, which proves that Pruitt is serious on the recruiting trail.

Damarcus Beckworth came down to a decision between the Gators and the Vols, and he sat in front of friends and family to make his decision with a lone Florida hat on the table.

After teasing the decision to pick Florida, he stood his full 6-foot-4-inches tall to reveal he’s wearing a Tennessee shirt under his jacket.

Beckworth flipping his commitment to the Vols was a shock to many, but the hard work for Pruitt and his team of coaches and recruiters is paying off. Beckworth became Tennessee’s 22nd commitment of the 2020 class.

Now Tennessee sits at 10 in the 247Sports rankings. The Vols have signed zero five stars, but 13 four stars have signed with Tennessee, and if Pruitt is able to develop those four stars, then they can gain that extra “star” while at Tennessee.

Pruitt has built a strong recruiting class again this year, and I think he’s going to take Tennessee to the next level.

The Memphis Grizzlies are here, and they are special. dark. Next

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will Tennessee’s football program, but there’s improvement in nearly every department since Pruitt has taken over the program, and that makes me think that Pruitt is building something very special on Rocky Top.
