Rashaan Evans joins Derrick Henry in supporting Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill over Tom Brady as the team’s starting quarterback in 2020.

The Tennessee Titans will be at the forefront of NFL news with its potential decision at the quarterback position. Reports indicate that the Titans are at the top of free-agent quarterback Tom Brady’s list, but it’s looking more like Titans fans and players prefer Ryan Tannehill.

Earlier this week, we say Derrick Henry voice his support for Tannehill over the six-time Super Bowl champion, and now Titans linebacker Rashaan Evans backs up his quarterback as well.

On Titans tackle Taylor Lewan’s podcast “Bussin With the Boys,” Evans said “absolutely” when asked if he agreed with Henry’s take. Evans went on NFL Network to back up what he said.

"“It’s like one of those situations in basketball, man,” Evans said on NFL Network. “The coach has got his main guy, he has a hot hand, why not give him the ball back again?”“I feel like just in that situation Ryan Tannehill has done just an amazing job,” Evans explained. “He was a guy that came in, wasn’t automatically wanting us to respect him as soon as he got into the facility. He literally was one of those guys that was quiet, worked hard. When he got his opportunity he seized every moment of it. He gained a lot of respect, not only from me but from the whole locker room…”"

You can’t blame Henry or Evans for wanting to bring back Tannehill. Yeah, Brady is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time, but after the run the Titans went on last season, there should be no doubt who the Titans should sign this offseason, and it’s Ryan Tannehill.

The Titans started 2-4, went on a win streak, earned a spot in the playoffs, and made it all the way to the AFC Championship with Tannehill at quarterback.

After a full offseason with the Titans’ offensive system, I can only expect the offense and Tannehill to improve off of the accomplishments of 2019.

Next. Tennessee Titans: Tom Brady is a “no-brainer”. dark

It’s still unclear which way the front office will lean when it comes contract time, but for the sake of the fans and the players, it’s in their best interest to do what they can to keep Tannehill in Nashville.
