Former Tennessee football players are showing out in the NFL Combine as Tennessee looks to have a few players in the top half of the draft.

Dominick Wood-Anderson and Marquez Callaway are two former Tennessee football players are showing out in the NFL Combine as the Vols look to have a player drafted after having zero drafted last year.

Callaway and Wood-Anderson were two players from Tennessee to watch at the NFL Combine along with Jauan Jennings, and the two showed out, as expected.

Jeremy Pruitt could use a good showing after having zero players drafted in last year’s draft, but I think this year’s draft will make up for last year’s.

For starters, Callaway showed out in the 40-yard dash. This comes as a shock to some because he’s not necessarily known for his speed, which makes his performance surprising.

Callaway’s best 40-yard dash came out at 4.56 seconds. Although Callaway wasn’t placed in the top-15 receivers after his performance, but it could add to his resume enough to stay in the back of the minds of some NFL GMs.

Every NFL general manager is looking for the next deep threat in the league, and his speed could help give him that opportunity.

In his four-year career at Tennessee, Callaway was a consistent punt returner for the Vols and finished his career with 40 punt returns for 543 yards and three touchdowns.

Wood-Anderson performed well in the vertical jump and finished fifth among tight ends in the category. He finished with a 35-inch jump and finished two inches behind Notre Dame’s Cole Kmet, who finished with a 37-inch jump.

Next. Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots could swap quarterbacks. dark

Tennessee could be well on its way to celebrating a few players getting drafted in this year’s draft, and I think there’s a possibility that at least three Vols get drafted in 2020, including Jauan Jennings.
