If the price is right, the Tennessee Titans should re-sign cornerback Logan Ryan after a successful tenure in Tennessee.

I have touched on this briefly already, but the Tennessee Titans will need to fill a hole at cornerback, and Logan Ryan would fix that perfectly.

The number Ryan is reportedly looking for is $10 million, which could be in the Titans’ price range if they sign Griffen over Clowney. For a player as talented and consistent as Ryan, that price isn’t a bad one either.

Ryan and the rest of the defensive backs did a great job last year, shutting down opponents through the air. Messing that up could cause some trouble for the Titans secondary, but keeping the pieces together can only make them better.

It’s all about keeping as much the same as possible as last year, and we’ve seen the Titans change some things up during free agency, so keeping Ryan could be a big win for the Titans in 2020.

On the other hand, it looks like general manager Jon Robinson might not want to keep Ryan which seems like a crazy thing after last season, but maybe the Titans are trying to upgrade as much as possible, and Ryan isn’t in those upgrades they want to complete.

Ryan finished the 2019 season with four interceptions, four forced fumbles, 73 solo tackles, and led the team in total tackles with 113 tackles.

With that stat line, it’s hard to say that Ryan doesn’t deserve a new contract from the Titans. With head coach Mike Vrabel’s defensive mind and the pure talent on the Titans’ defense, Tennessee’s defense could be even more dominant in 2020 than they were in 2019.

If the Titans want to continue to dominate on defense, then they might want to try to re-sign Ryan and keep as many players on the defensive side of the ball as they possibly can.

For the offensive side of the ball, the Titans will need to invest in a few backups for their star players. One position specifically is at the running back position. Derrick Henry might need a good backup throughout the season to keep Henry healthy and ready to go all season long.

A fairly cheap option for the Titans would be Carlos Hyde. He’s a cheaper option with enough experience to benefit the Titans in a big way, even if he doesn’t get a ton of carries.
