We all know how much of a beast Tennessee football’s Jauan Jennings is on the field, and an NFL analyst is now giving a bold prediction.

It doesn’t take many plays to see how talented and hardworking Jauan Jennings is on the field. He was a leader in Tennessee football’s locker room and on the field and was a big reason why the Vols kept moving when it looked like they were dead.

In Jennings’ senior year, he caught 59 passes for 969 yards and eight touchdowns. When he didn’t have the ball in his hands, he still stayed involved in the offense by making plays away from the ball.

He’s a very physical player, and that’s one of the biggest reasons he was a fan favorite among Tennessee fans. That’s a big advantage for Tennessee and Jennings when they’re playing a team that doesn’t like to be as physical as Jennings.

CBS Sports analyst Barrett Sallee gave a bold prediction about Jennings‘ NFL career comparing him to Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans.

"“The size stands out,” Barrett Sallee said. “The guy is a mismatch in every sense of the word, but the biggest aspect of his game that will be an asset at the next level is his leadership. He got that crew to play for Jeremy Pruitt after that disastrous 0-2 start. Without a doubt, Pruitt points to him as one of the biggest reasons why that season did not turn into a disaster.“He rounds off his routes, he will have to work on that. He’s not sudden, he’s more strong. At the next level, he compares to a guy like Mike Evans. I think Mike Evans and Jauan Jennings both have similar traits coming out of the SEC. Mike Evans developed into a star. We’ll see if Jauan Jennings can do the same.”"

Unfortunately, Jennings was thrown in a difficult offensive situation at Tennessee, and he wasn’t in a pass-catcher friendly offense. So to see him succeed as well as he did in Tennessee’s offense, it gives me high hopes he’s going to dominate no matter the situation he’s thrown into in the NFL.

If Jennings can have a career somewhat as successful as Mike Evans, then he’s going to have an amazing NFL career, and it’s going to be a lot of fun watching him torture NFL defenders.

If there’s anyone Tennessee fans will be cheering for in the draft, and in the NFL, it will be Jennings, and I have no doubt in my mind that Jennings could be just as successful as Mike Evans in the NFL.
