Ryan Tannehill led the Tennessee Titans to the AFC Championship last season, and Tannehill should be a favorite for MVP.

If someone asked you who your Tennessee Titans team MVP was for last season, who would you have said? Ryan Tannehill? Derrick Henry? Someone else? I think Tannehill and Henry would be the frontrunners, but without Tannehill, the Titans might’ve gone 4-12.

He had the best season in his career last season, and there isn’t an NFL quarterback that performed much better. Maybe Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes, but we all know how good those two guys really are. Oh, and Tannehill beat Jackson in the playoffs.

Now BetMGM is releasing its future odds for the 2020 season, and that includes its MVP odds. You would think that after the 2019 season, Tannehill would have decent odds to win the MVP.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, if you’re looking to win the bet, his odds aren’t great. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes leads the way with +325 odds to win the MVP, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson are tied for second at +500.

Tannehill, on the other hand, is all the way down at +8000 to win MVP. He’s surrounded by the likes of Derek Carr, Philip Rivers, Cam Newton, Mitch Trubisky, and Drew Lock. If you ask me, that’s a bit disrespectful to Tannehill and his 2019 performance.

Without Tannehill, there might not be a quarterback for the future; there might not be a future for Henry in Nashville; there might not be an opportunity for the Titans to win the AFC South for the first time since 2008.

Once again, people outside the state of Tennessee are downplaying the Titans and Tannehill’s ability to be successful. That shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, though. The Titans haven’t been able to gain the respect of anyone outside of Tennessee for a long time, and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon, even though it should.

Tannehill was one of the best quarterbacks statistically last season, so the fact that he is surrounded by Carr, Rivers, Newton, Trubisky, and Lock is extremely disrespectful. Tannehill is ten times better than any of those quarterbacks.

Next. The best corner in the country likes the Vols. dark

Tannehill should be an MVP favorite, or at least around the top five. He was one of the best quarterbacks last season, and that’ll be the case again this season.
