Jeremy Pruitt and Tennessee Football have been working hard on the virtual recruiting trail as the Vols just picked up its tenth commitment.

The 2021 recruiting class is starting to take shape as Tennessee football got its tenth commitment on Friday.

Oxford, Alabama, athlete Roc Taylor made the announcement that he will be joining the Vols over Florida, Arkansas, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound three-star athlete even helped push Tennessee to the 12th-best recruiting class in the country.

247Sports has the Vols ranked 12th, but that doesn’t mean too much with it being so early in the recruiting season. It could help build momentum, but it doesn’t guarantee that the recruiting class could be in the top ten, although I believe it will be a top ten recruiting class.

The Vols are currently sandwiched between Rutgers (No. 11) and Iowa (No. 13). Tennessee sits behind Florida (No. 4) and Georgia (No. 8) in the rankings as of right now. LSU has the fourth-best recruiting class in the SEC at No. 21.

Taylor can bring the Vols another option on offense too with his size. He’s a dynamic, versatile receiver and he can go over the top of defenders with his height. That’s a big reason the Tennessee coaches liked him.

"“I like the school. I like the weight room, the field, and the coaching staff,” Taylor told GoVols247 after his visit. “I’m starting to feel very comfortable there.“They said they could use me in different spots on the field, and I’m a big-sized receiver and they need those types of receivers and stuff like that.”"

Tennessee is building a diverse and dynamic recruiting class for 2021, one that could help take the Tennessee offense to the next level.

We all know what Harrison Bailey can bring to the table at quarterback, and he will already have a year under his belt. The additions of Jordan Mosley, Walker Merrill, and Taylor could bring big benefits for the Tennessee offense.

We’ve seen the Vols in the middle of a lot of recruits’ lists of their top teams, and now we’re starting to get a few commits too.

Tennessee football is in a good spot right now in recruiting. They’re slowly adding a player here and there, and the more top recruits that show interest in the Vols, the better chance we have at getting a couple of them.
