The Tennessee Titans seem to be the most talented team in the AFC South going into the 2020 season, and Pro Football Focus predicts the Titans win the division.

It looked like the Tennessee Titans’ season was all but over after only six weeks into the season. I never would’ve thought that Ryan Tannehill would’ve put the team on his back and carried the Titans to the AFC Championship.

Apparently, what anyone thought didn’t matter to Tannehill because he did it anyway and put together one of the best-half seasons that I’ve seen in recent years. The turnaround the Titans had was a complete 180, and the Titans don’t expect to slow down this fall.

Pro Football Focus doesn’t expect the Titans to slow down, either after they predicted the Titans to win the AFC South. They ran 2020 simulations, and the Titans came away with the AFC South Championship and had some impressive numbers, too.

The Titans won the AFC South in 46% of the simulations. The team that finished in second place was the Indianapolis Colts who won the division only 26% of the time, the Houston Texans came in third with winning the division 22% of the time, and the Jacksonville Jaguars came in last only winning the division six percent of the time.

PFF’s George Chahrouri dug a little deeper into the Titans’ success last year. He pointed out that the Titans were third in offensive efficiency in 2019 with Tannehill running the offense, and that A.J. Brown was the third-ranked receiver in the league from Week 7 on, according to PFF.

The Titans have an opportunity to build on that offensive success, and we could see Tannehill and Brown connect on a lot of passes this fall. We might even see Tannehill, Brown, and Derrick Henry team up as one of the best, if not the best offensive trio in the NFL for the 2020 season.

We will have to wait until the 2020 season gets into full swing until we find out if that’s the case, but even if the Titans aren’t the best team in the AFC, they can definitely be one of the top teams in the conference.
