Tennessee Football has one of the best recruiting classes in the country, and 2021 commit Elijah Howard isn’t surprised Tennessee has a top class.

Tennessee football was on fire on the recruiting trail earlier this month, and Vols commit Elijah Howard isn’t surprised that happened.

Howard committed nearly a year ago in late June of last year, so he’s been by Jeremy Pruitt and the Vols’ side for a while, so he knows how Pruitt operates, and that’s why he’s not surprised that Tennessee has a top recruiting class.

"“They got the right guys in,” Howard said. “Tennessee is a place that used to be feared. The fans there are great, and getting to play in front of all of them would be a dream come true as a hometown kid growing up here.“Coach Pruitt, people trust him. They like the direction that he’s got the program going. So I knew it was just a matter of time before everybody started to see that and started to join.”"

And many players did see that earlier this year when Tennessee caught fire and received verbal commitment after verbal commitment.

Howard believes that Tennessee is the best spot to be in college football for the opportunities on the football field and in the classroom.

"“It doesn’t get any better than UT,” Howard explained. “Academic-wise, it’s a good school. It’s a great football town. You have two gurus in Coach Pruitt and Coach Ansley, too.“I’m trying to help boost our recruiting so we can be back at the top of the SEC again.”"

Tennessee football fans are excited for the future of Tennessee football and the potential that the 2021 recruiting class offers, but it seems like the recruits that are committed feel the same way.

Next. If Colin Kaepernick returns, he could be coming to the Tennessee Titans. dark

Pruitt is putting together something special on Rocky Top, and the word is out for young players throughout the country. Let’s just hope that the Vols can keep that same momentum on the football field in the fall.
