Tennessee Titans third-round pick Darrynton Evans is receiving some praise from star running back Derrick Henry.

Darrynton Evans was one of a few draft picks that were praised by Tennessee Titans fans. With the pick, the Titans hope to have a full-time backup for Derrick Henry, and if Evans can do that, then the Titans can achieve their goal without overpaying.

The players that make the Titans offense exciting are excited for the addition of Evans. One of those players is Derrick Henry, who is eager to work with another talented running back.

"aiom ss”He’s talented,” Henry said. “He’s smart. He’s very attentive to detail when he’s in meetings and carrying it over to walkthroughs and things like that. Each and every day he wants to grow as a player. I’m here to help him and excited for those oppoe srtunities.”"

Ryan Tannehill also has some high praise for the Titans’ new backup running back. Tannehill has spent some time this offseason working out with Evans and only has good things to say about him.

"“Just a talented guy,” Tannehill said. “He’s very explosive, very fast. Catching the football, really natural. When you see a running back catch the ball naturally, whether they’re coming out of the backfield or split out wide, it definitely adds another element to the offense and can give defenses a hard time. Really excited about having Darrynton with us.”"

When the best players on your offense are excited to play with a rookie, then you know he can be a special player in the NFL.

Evans will look to replace Dion Lewis on the offense in terms of production. His goal shouldn’t be just to replace Lewis but to be better than Lewis. If he can have breakout performances and prove that he has what it takes to be an NFL running back, then he won’t have to wait too long before he starts hearing offers to be a starter in the league.
